Take a deep breath — this page is here to answer everything you might be wondering before booking your first session.
Whether you’re new to bodywork or returning for regular care, here’s what you need to know about booking, deposits, and scheduling your session at Bodywork by Molly in Louisville.
You can book online through my Vagaro scheduling system. A deposit is required to reserve your appointment.
If you have accessibility needs or questions before booking, feel free to text or email me directly — I’m happy to help you choose the best session type.
Most clients book 2–4 weeks ahead. I do accept new clients, but my schedule fills quickly — booking early helps secure your preferred time.
No. All sessions are by appointment only to maintain a quiet, private environment for everyone.
Your first bodywork session should feel safe, clear, and grounded. These answers walk you through how sessions flow — from intake to aftercare — so you can arrive feeling informed and at ease.
We’ll begin with a short intake conversation to discuss your goals, comfort level, and any health concerns. You’ll choose whether you’d like to be on the table (with draping) or the mat (fully clothed). Every body is different. You’re always welcome to choose the amount of clothing or draping that feels right and safe for you.
You’re always in control — you can ask questions, change your mind, or adjust anything at any time. Learn more on the First-Time Clients page
Table massage: Undress to your comfort level — you’ll always be covered by professional draping.
Thai-Stretch Fusion: Wear clothing you can move in comfortably (leggings, joggers, or gym shorts).
TMJ & Crown Treatments: Wear clothing that allows easy access to your neck and shoulders.
For table work, yes — I use a light, hypoallergenic blend.
For Thai/stretch sessions, no oils or lotions are used.
Yes, as long as you arrive on time. Late arrivals may shorten the session so I can honor the next client’s time.
Curious about barefoot massage, Thai-Stretch Fusion, or TMJ treatments?
Every body is different. I adapt my approach for your anatomy, comfort level, and access needs — there’s no “right” way to receive bodywork. Each service supports your body differently and helps regulate your nervous system in its own way.
Barefoot massage (also known as Sarga Bodywork) is a deep, slow technique where I use my feet instead of my hands. It works directly with your fascia (connective tissue), helping regulate your nervous system and relieve chronic tension.
Clients with hypermobility, autoimmune conditions, or chronic pain often find this approach especially supportive.
Table Massage sessions happen on a massage table and blend barefoot, deep tissue, and Swedish techniques. You undress to your comfort level and are professionally draped the entire time.
Thai-Stretch Fusion takes place on a padded floor mat, typically with participants fully clothed, using rocking, compression, and assisted stretching to improve mobility and calm the nervous system. With your consent, sessions may also include select barefoot techniques applied directly to the skin for broad, slow pressure. Prefer to stay fully clothed? We adapt—your choices lead.
These sessions target jaw, face, and neck tension caused by clenching, grinding, or misalignment.
Most clients benefit from a 6-session series over 6–12 weeks.

A 45-minute focused session for the head, face, and neck, using lymphatic drainage, gua sha, and gentle massage to ease migraines, puffiness, and stress.

Absolutely. Infrared sauna sessions can be added after your bodywork or booked alone. Saunas help extend the effects of your massage — improving recovery, circulation, and relaxation.
Towels are provided. You can use towels only, or wear a swimsuit or athletic shorts if you’d like more coverage—your choice.
Changing & privacy
There’s a private changing area within the studio (not a separate room) with hooks, towels, and time to settle. We adjust heat and duration to your comfort.
Transparency builds trust. These are the core studio policies around cancellation, illness, and payment, so you always know what to expect before your session.
Please provide 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
Late cancellations or no-shows forfeit the deposit.
Each client receives one “life happens” cancellation per year — because life really does happen.
Your session will still end at the scheduled time so I can honor the next client’s appointment.
Cash, all major credit/debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards are accepted. Payment is due at the time of service.
I do not bill insurance directly, but you can use HSA/FSA cards for qualifying sessions.
Every body is welcome here. These FAQs address boundaries, consent, and accommodations for clients of all ages, identities, and abilities — because safety and choice come first.
In every session, your name, pronouns, and comfort matter. You’re always invited to share what feels best for your body — whether that’s about pressure, draping, positioning, or simply how you want to be met that day.
Yes — by referral only, from an existing client or trusted connection. I welcome trans men and nonbinary clients without a referral.
Teens (16+) may book with parent/guardian consent; a parent must remain on-site.
Older adults are welcome. Please note: my studio is upstairs and not wheelchair accessible.
You are always in charge of your experience. You can ask to adjust pressure, skip an area, or stop the session entirely. Your comfort and consent come first, always.
Bodywork looks different for every nervous system. If you’re neurodivergent, touch-averse, or sensitive to sound, scent, or light, these answers explain how we can adapt your session for comfort and regulation.
I co-create every session with your input. You can request:
A quiet / no-talking session
Weighted blankets or grounding pauses
No music or scent-free space
Dim lighting or an eye mask
Every nervous system is unique — your preferences are welcome.
Wondering how you’ll feel after your session or how often to come in? Here’s what most clients experience as their bodies begin to slow down, release, and heal.
Most clients leave feeling looser, calmer, and more grounded. You may feel mild soreness (like after a good stretch), which fades within 24–48 hours.
Drink water, rest, and let your body integrate the work.
It depends on your goals:
Chronic pain or TMJ: weekly or bi-weekly
Maintenance/stress relief: Clients book weekly, monthly, or seasonally—many land on monthly. There’s no ‘should,’ only what supports your nervous system.
Yes. I offer 3-session bodywork packages (60, 90, or 120 minutes) that include complimentary sauna sessions. TMJ clients can purchase a 6-session treatment package for long-term results.
See the Ongoing Care page for pricing and details.
Here’s the simple stuff — where to park, how to find the studio, and accessibility details so your arrival can be as stress-free as your session.
My studio is located at: 414 Baxter Ave, Suite 205, Louisville, KY. Enter through Door 2 and head upstairs — free parking is available on-site.
My studio is located upstairs in a cozy loft space with one flight of stairs and no elevator, which means it isn’t currently wheelchair accessible. If stairs create a barrier for you, I’m happy to connect you with trusted, accessibility-friendly practitioners in Louisville so you can still receive the care you deserve.
This work is about more than muscles — it’s about remembering what safety feels like in your own body.
Every session is an invitation to slow down, drop in, and be held.
At the heart of it all is one belief: rest is medicine.
You don’t have to do it alone — we’ll move at the speed of trust.
